Acceptable Use Policy
What is not allowed on the service, to protect RevYou, the businesses and their customers.
Updated: September 2, 2026
This is a courtesy translation. The binding version of this policy is the Hebrew version; if the two diverge, the Hebrew version prevails.
Purpose of this policy
This policy is intended to protect the service from abuse. It applies to every user of the service, alongside the Terms of Use.
RevYou may suspend or restrict an account that violates this policy.
Prohibited uses
- spam or sending unsolicited mass messages;
- fake reviews or reviews that do not reflect a genuine experience;
- offering anything of value in exchange for a review, contrary to Google's policies or the law;
- selectively blocking unhappy customers from reaching Google (review gating);
- impersonating another person or entity;
- phishing or attempting to obtain information by deception;
- uploading or distributing unlawful content;
- attacking the service's systems or attempting to bypass its security mechanisms;
- collecting information from the service in a prohibited manner.
Google reviews
RevYou is built to operate in line with Google's review policies. Three things are explicitly prohibited:
- do not create, solicit or encourage fake reviews or reviews that do not reflect a customer's genuine experience;
- do not offer a customer anything of value - a discount, a gift or any other benefit - in exchange for writing a review;
- do not selectively block unhappy customers from reaching Google's review form (review gating).
Details of what Google allows and prohibits are available in the full guide, and an explanation of review gating is available on the dedicated page (both in Hebrew).
